Job Description

Salary Range:

If teaching less than 5 credits (Adjunct): Per credit rate of $775 - $1650.
If teaching 5 or more credits total (Temporary, PT): $44,144.00 - 96,906.00 Annually (Based upon 1.0 FTE of 32 credits per years. Pay will be prorated, based upon credit load). Salary placement is determined on the basis of education and experience and in accordance with the 2024 - 2025 MSCF Contract, and conducted by the Minnesota State System Office.

Minimum Qualifications
Education Requirement

Two-year diploma from an industrial mechanics and maintenance technology program.

Occupational Experience Requirement

Four full-time years (or equivalent) of verified related paid work experience in industrial mechanics and maintenance technology.

Recency Requirement

One year of this work experience shall be within the five years immediately preceding the date of application for the credential field. The recency requirement shall be waived if the individual has two years of successful full-time (or equivalent) postsecondary teaching experience in the credential field within the last five years.

Salary Range: The full pay range for this role is $28.00 to $47.00 per hour. The target range for this position is $30.00 to $40.00 per hour . Working Conditions

Job Description

Generally Monday through Friday, between 8 AM and 2 PM (shorter days on Fridays).
Two to three weeks off between Fall and Spring semesters, one week off for Spring break, ten paid holidays, sick leave and personal days, and a generous benefit package.
Annual Salary is for the 9 months included in the Academic Year (late August to mid-May). Summer work is not part of the contract and faculty often work in the industry during that time.

Job Description
Minnesota West Community and Technical College seeks an Electrical Linework Instructor dedicated to excellence in teaching who desires to become part of a creative, vibrant, student-centered learning community. We are seeking an individual who is dedicated to teaching, is committed to students, student learning, and student success. In addition to delivering classroom instruction, candidates will be expected to participate in student recruitment, develop curriculum, assess student competency and participate in advisory committee meetings, department meetings and college wide events.

Minimum Qualifications

Education Requirement:

Diploma in an electrical linework program.

Occupational Experience Requirement:

Four full-time (or equivalent) years of verified related paid work experience in electrical linework.

Recency Requirement:

One year of this work experience shall be within the five years immediately preceding the date of application for the credential field. The recency requirement shall be waived if the individual has two years of successful full-time (or equivalent) postsecondary teaching experience in the credential field within the last five years.

Preferred Qualification

Three years teaching experience working with a diverse student population.
Experience with D2L or other online Course Management System.
Understanding of the mission, vision, and core values of a comprehensive two year college.
Experience in curriculum development.
Excellent interpersonal and team building skills.
Multilingual or multicultural background or experience working with underserved populations.
